Joomla.org has released the latest update in the Joomla 3 series. Joomla 3.7.5 released August 17 addresses a single bug that prevents new installations of Joomla! 3.7.4 with remote databases.
We recently updated our blog discussing the Joomla 3.7 release. If you have not yet updated to Joomla 3.7 read the update instructions first. Make sure you are running at least Joomla 3.7 and any extensions are updated first.
You can apply the patch via the Joomla updater in the administrator area of your site, or navigate to Components -> Joomla Update. If your site requires extension updates there will be a notification upon login to the Joomla Administration Panel.
Clients who are on our monthly maintenance plans will have their sites done automatically.
How do I tell what version of Joomla is running?
Generally, when you login to the Administrator Panel the Joomla version will be displayed in small print at the bottom of the screen. Alternatively navigate to the help menu and select Joomla Help. On the left hand side you will see a menu with Latest Version Check.
Joomla 1.5 and 2.5 sites
Sites running Joomla 1.5 and 2.5 are no longer supported and therefore vulnerable to attack. Please contact us if you are still running a Joomla 1.5 or 2.5 website and need help upgrading.
